Project Description
DominiRican Productions is an independent production company founded by Pierre Jean Gonzalez and Cedric Leiba Jr. in the summer of 2020. In 2021, Steven Luna became an official partner in the company and is their lead Director of Photography/Editor. This reel showcases a small snippet of some of the work the three partners at DominiRican have been able to do over the past two years. With experience in filmmaking (narrative, documentary, experimental), capturing live events and performances, filming live readings and theater performances, and directing a ton of interviews in both English and Spanish, this reel should provide folks with a glimpse into not only what we’re capable of creating, but how we create: with empathy, community, trust, and kindness at the forefront of how we approach Media. We always strive to ensure that Black, Indigenous, Queer, Latiné and other marginalized voices are in front of and behind the camera. We are not given the space to tell our own stories, so we have been intentional about creating our own through DominiRican Productions. Whether or not you’re watching this because you’re interested in joining our ever-expanding roster of creators and production assistants, or thinking of hiring us for your next video, we want to truly thank you for taking the time to be here.
