Today, we are celebrating with our partners at @bombazodanceco, a non-profit dance company on a mission to preserve, educate and showcase traditional Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba music.
❓Did you know: “Bombazo” means Bomba jam and Puerto Rico’s oldest musical genre. It dates back to the 17th century when it was practiced by enslaved and free people of color and a music maintained to this day as a form of expression. This is an intersection where people come together to celebrate life through rhythm, song and dance.
