DRP had the pleasure and privilege of filming Roundabout Theater’s Year 3 of The Refocus Project. Filmed in the Spring of 2023 and streamed in the the Fall of 2023, DRP was proud to be a part of Roundabout’s mission to hightlight works from Asian American and Pacific Islander Playwrights. They write:
“The third year of The Refocus Project spotlights AAPI playwrights from the 20th and 21st centuries, including Prince Gomolvilas, Velina Hasu Houston, Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl, Anuvab Pal, Jeannie Barroga, Philip Kan Gotanda, Edward Sakamoto, and Wakako Yamauchi. The Refocus Project workshopped and produced a public reading series of four plays in the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre which are now available to stream. An additional four plays are featured in an essay series by members of Ma-Yi Theater Company’s Writers Lab.”
